Start Passion is born at the age of 11 years by attraction for a sport that my friend Jean Paul had tried to explain to me and witch aroused my curiosity. A little bit to much it seems ! In 1980 I saw for the first time top fuel action, I took plainfull in my eyes, my ears and my nostrils. To late virus was inoculated. With my friend Benoit, october 1987, journey in Florida to drive a 750 HP dragster under the orders of the worldchampion Franck Hawley (Funny-car). The course is made by the famous Drag Racing School. Benoit have made a reporting article on NITRO french magazine. Since 3 days runs are following runs to perform a credit Ellapsed Time of 8.87 at 147.89 (238 Km/H). Nothing else than fun ! Adrenalin ! Coming back to France the desire was to big. Bought of the dragster have been made in october 1989 after 2 travels in England (Santa Pod and Long Marston). |

Witch name for the dragster ?
Every dragsters have a name. It was a challenge to find a name making reference of wearing mask imposed to slingshot's drivers for security reasons. |
Join the dark side of the force ! What's about your spacecraft ? A SlingShot ! Why is it made for ? Georges ! Rather than this, join the dark side ! |
L'asbetos mask Lord Vader, the 20th Century Fox France consent to christen the dragster by your name. What's tribute ! |
The 2 acccomplices on the asphalt Guiscriff (Brittany) GG - "Tempting by a little run ?" DV - "To bring back circulation to my pistons, Why not !" GG - " OK ! My right foot is itching me, you will have to show that you are up to it ?" DV - " Not afraid ! When my wheels will be at one feet over the track , will your foot will be always sticked to the floor" GG - "Eh you talk me better ! Or else I saturate your carb ' with nitrous oxyde and your rods will danse the french Cancan" DV - "For sure ! When you are wedge inside the rolling cage, in security, you can't do the splits." GG - " Don't be so touchy ! I give you AVGAS 100LL(aviation fuel). Let's go !" Ten minutes later... DV - "Crac ! Crac ! Crac !..." |

Do you want some Nitrous Oxyde ? AH ! Ah ! AaaaaH ! HI ! Hi ! Hou ! Sooo Cooool ! We remind to our pleasent readers and fervents admirers, that nitrous oxyde is a laughing gas, so it's not good for the dragracing image to abuse of it. However, in order to offer a complete description of the product, I sacrify myself to demonstrate, live from the track, what little credibility you may grant to the heady Nitrous Oxyde legend. Pssscccchhhiiiiiiitt ! Aaaaah ! Ooooh !... ...The chimical formula is N2O, that meens 2 molecules of hoot laughing versus 1 molecule of visual distorsion. Oh ! But it's STUPEFYING ! That's why our mecanics have piston which explode, the rod which stamp her foot, the valve which kiss the camshaft. White vapor escaping from the bottle of blue lemonade, my nostrils takes great delight on the spirit which is scaterred like a smog. Sweat evanescent sensation witch cover my eye in mist and dive myself in a floatting narcoïtic psychodisleptic dreaming. Oh ! The beautiful cars with beacon, and such lovely little mens in white coat. No ! Let me go ! Set me free ! No injection please ! And what ! No sir ! No long sleeved shirt ! No hands on back ! No ! NOOOO ! Let me go... ...Alo the earth ! |
