SANTA POD Christmas Tree

Two infrareds beams cross the starting lines and are connected to the Christmas Tree and his electronic clock. When a vehicule cuts the 1st beam, called pre-stage beam, the pre-stage lamps lights on indicating that the pilot is about 7" from the starting line. The car approach again to cut the stage beam lighting on the 2nd lamp. When the 2 drivers have reached this point, the procedure is automatic and they must be concentrate on the large yellow lamps. In « Pro » catégory  the lamps lights on at the same time, 0.4 second later the green one is on. In « Sportsman » catégory large yellow lamps lights on successively
to the green one after a 0.5 second delay. Pilots are disqualified in case of :
If they reach the stage beam before the green light.
If they cross the white center lanes or if they touch the security wall.
The clock is started at the time when the stage beam is restablished.

The christmas tree is blured by exhaust gasses.
The RPM hand wedge on 5000, plausible with a launch at 4000 RPM (my range was in 3500 to 5000).

The transbrake system allow very quick starts. The engine speed is kept hight (higher torque) by an hydraulic bypass in the labyrinth in the lower part of the transmission. The bypass is controled by a button installed on the flywheel, release it and instantaneously horses are unbridled.
In fact the advantage is found versus an engine speed growing up from the low RPM (hold by brakes) to the highers.

During the burn out, take a look at the front wheel which jump at the transbrake release.
The run is not a straight one, my wheels were a little bit turned left. That's why you will heard an engine shut down.
