The quarter of mile

Late in the 80's Guiscriff (Brittany)

Bertrand Dubet first lane versus English driver Russ Carpenter (far lane).
Dragracing is a track event taking place looking like a duel.
After elimination's rounds, 16 pilots are battling from 1/8th round to the final's one.
The procedure begins by the Burn Out, after that the run begins under the orders of the christmas tree.

The first pilot crossing the finished line, 402 meters later, without anticipation on the green light is declared victorious.

Tribute to motorcycles drivers, dragracing exist also on two wheels.
Eric Téboul in white leather suit against an other pilot (Who knows his name ?).

On the track, successives runs have layed down a rubbery film offering more "Grip" for the tires. E.T.s at the end of the week-end will be better than at the begining.

Benoit who made in 1986 the course at the Drag Racing School (Gainesville Florida), was gone back in 87 to take, this time, the altered's flyingwheel. Guess who was in their luggage ? Your faithful servant.

Although the course didn't learned us the chute's folding, Benoit seems perfectly making a good job.
Benoit is at this time living in the USA and his a lucky guy having lot of dragracing tracks on his neighbourhoud. He keeps on to use benefits of this situation and have tooked around top-fuels to his children.

A dragster trying to overtake a hot-rod ! I light on my indicator, take a look back... Nobody, OK I can go !
Strange it's impossible to overtake ! Oh for sure !
Here it is the Jean Luc's Rod which is towing the drag to the starting line, I am hooked to his rear end.
Two hot-rods were present at this week-end playing with the christmas tree on adjustment test.

Jean Luc have built an other rod, oh ! yes ! when familly grown up, a sedan is better than a coupé.
Both of them are Ford 1932' type.
